Job Title: Visiting Professor of Criminal Justice

Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Division Chair for Behavioral Sciences and the Dean of the School of Physical and
Applied Sciences.

Unit: IWU-Marion

Department: Behavioral Science Division

Summary of Position:  Indiana Wesleyan University invites applications for a one-year Criminal Justice visiting faculty position on its residential campus in Marion, IN. The position carries with it an expectation for inclusive teaching and mentoring. All candidates must be dedicated to liberal learning and the integration of faith and learning within a Wesleyan Christian perspective.

The Criminal Justice Department is housed within the Division of Behavioral Sciences. The Division provides leadership in psychology and sociology for the general education program and services more than 400 majors in addictions counseling, criminal justice, pre-art therapy, psychology, and social work.

Position will be open for Fall of 2022.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Job responsibilities include teaching courses and offering input on curriculum within the Criminal Justice major as well as advising and mentoring students within the program. 

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • Candidates should possess at least a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related field.

Experience

  • All candidates must be dedicated to liberal learning and the integration of faith and learning within a Wesleyan Christian perspective.
