Job Title: Texas Enrollment Coordinator

Reporting Relationship: Vice President-Enrollment Mgmt-IWUM

Unit: Central Administration

Department: Arts & Sciences Admissions - IWU-Marion

Campus Location: Online/Remote residing within the state of Texas

Summary of Position:    The Texas Enrollment Coordinator represents IWU Marion’s programs, mission, and initiatives within school systems and at recruitment events in Texas to develop enrollment pipelines to the residential campus. The position has the expectation of extensive travel, in-person engagement, partnership development, and enrollment-related responsibilities. Further, the position engages in development activities with organizations, equips alumni teachers, and connects with high school students when possible.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate IWU Awareness
    • Connect with organizational leaders where there is an established IWU connection to share about the programs, mission and opportunities on the Marion campus
    • Establish rapport and connect with organizations to create recruitment opportunities 
  • Recruitment Activities
    • Represent IWU Marion at select college fairs engaging prospective students and their families
    • Visit high schools to meet with prospective students, guidance counselors and other school personnel
    • Visit community colleges to connect with transfers counselors and share the IWU story with prospective students
    • Schedule, promote and host informational meetings or receptions
    • Meet with families of applicants to encourage, answer questions and share IWU opportunities 
  • Alumni Engagement and Resourcing
    • Encourage and equip alumni teachers to share the IWU story with their students
    • Develop gift baskets with IWU resources to deliver and engage
    • Solicit referrals from alumni
    • Present to prospective students in alumni teacher classrooms as available 
  • Connect with the Marion Enrollment Team
    • Provide information about interested students to the appropriate admissions counselor, athletic coach, music program, Honors College, etc.
    • Build strong relationships with enrollment leaders, counselors, and support staff to promote enrollment aims
    • Regularly updates knowledge of institutional programs and activities
    • Participate in staff meetings as appropriate
    • Come to Marion campus for new student registration and other events that would build knowledge of the IWU Marion community 
  • Data Management
    • Maintains records on recruitment and account activity through the Marion CRM
    • Tracks lead and contact data to support reporting, trend analysis, and relationship management
    • Develops and tracks weekly, monthly, and annual benchmarks supporting development goals
    • Maintains an accurate accounting of all visits
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
  • Work Environment
    • Work primarily remotely
    • 50% - 75% Travel required
    • Possible evening, weekend, and overnight travel required

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales, marketing, or college recruitment with a record of high performance in solution selling across multiple industry verticals

  • Ability to articulate his/her Christian faith
  • Excellent driving record
  • Working experience in Office 365 and Salesforce
  • Superior communication skills (spoken, written, group, and individual)
