Job Title: Coordinator of Clinical Placements and Partnerships

Reporting Relationship: Assistant Director of Clinical Experiences

Unit: National & Global

Department: School of Integrated Learning & Development (SILD)

Campus Location: NGM Building (Marion, IN)

Summary of Position:    The Coordinator will work daily to secure clinical placements, assist program candidates, secure Memorandums of Understanding with school partners, and conduct all required program tracking and data collection as required. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that program candidates are placed in diverse clinical settings and will work with the Assistant Director to develop and maintain accurate records associated with all clinical experiences.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • In the execution of daily responsibilities, comply with all FERPA requirements per university policy and coordinate the collection and dissemination of required documentation for all clinical experiences to include, but not limited to:
    • Background checks
    • Candidate transcripts
    • Placement forms 
  • Coordinate and maintain current Memorandums of Understanding with appropriate school partners 
  • Manage program documentation and tracking to include, but not limited to:
    • Immunization records
    • Background checks
    • Clinical placements
    • Placement diversity data
    • Memorandums of Understanding
    • Mentor Agreement Forms
    • Placement Agreement Forms 
  • Work with school partners and the Assistant Director to develop systems and processes for coordinating all clinical experiences in SILD to ensure alignment to specific program, state, regional, and national accreditation standards
  • Ensure clinical experiences satisfy all program and licensure requirements 

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • Two (2) years of college (associate degree) required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience

  • Experience with basic information technologies (e.g., email, Word, PDF documents, databases, Excel, etc.)
  • Previous PreK-12 education or higher education experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures

Required Skills

  • Work with basic information technologies (e.g., email, Word, PDF documents, databases, Excel, etc.) required
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to set priorities in a multi-task environment
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to work collaboratively
  • Be self-motivated and able to work autonomously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for relating effectively with students, faculty, staff, and school partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
