Job Title: Director, Enrollment Pipelines

Summary of Position:    The Director leads the development of enrollment pipelines through partnerships with external organizations. The position is responsible for the partnership executive (PE) teams and their activities, including lead PEs and individuals, developing and advancing partnerships with healthcare (e.g., nursing, behavioral sciences, counseling), community colleges, education, corporate, and education benefit entities (the “assigned verticals”).


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Team and Culture
    • Develops a high-performance team and culture that models the posture and values of Indiana Wesleyan University
    • Encourage creativity, strategic thinking, planning, execution, and leadership development across the partnership executive team
  • Team Leadership
    • Oversees the partnership executive team, including all lead and individual PEs
    • Ensures coordination and alignment with the academic leader(s) to design outreach and partnership development strategies for assigned verticals
    • In collaboration with lead PEs, assigns team members to accounts and activities and coordinates efforts of team members to ensure alignment with vertical priorities
    • Develops long-term plans and performance expectations for the teams. Evaluates assigned team members’ performance and offers accountability and remediation as needed
    • Oversees financial policies and accounting with support from the financial services coordinator
  • Strategic Relationships
    • Identifies and nurtures strategic relationships with organizations and influencers in the assigned verticals
    • Facilitates strategic conversations between these external entities and university leadership to identify, develop, and launch partnerships to support enrollment, student success, and other important university aims
  • Market Awareness
    • In concert with the current priorities and assigned verticals, oversees the identification prospective partners, alumni, and friends of the university within the assigned verticals to build a strategic approach to partnerships
    • Strategically engages in awareness events (e.g., Chamber of Commerce meetings, conferences, industry focused associations, etc.)
    • Identifies and executes lead generation events, experiences, and other efforts to support market awareness
  • Partnership Development
    • In collaboration with the PE leads, creates and executes university-to-organization development and contact strategies and techniques to engage prospective partners, nurture key relationships, present IWU-N&G offerings, and guide the prospective partner through the partnership development funnel, and increase enrollment
    • Ensures the administration of legal agreement for new partners, utilizing existing templates
    • Executes these strategies with the goal to meet performance targets, including the number of partnerships and students enrolled in degrees
    • Provides consistency in the sales process within Partnerships
    • Creates and manages with an enrollment and sales playbook
  • Onboarding & Engagement
    • Ensures the onboarding of new partners
    • Provides ongoing communication with and account management for partners to ensure engagement, optimize the relationship, and ensure long-term enrollment success
  • Recruitment Strategies
    • Aligns partnership development with recruitment strategies that will effectively communicate to an organization’s associates IWU programs and deliverables
    • Advances partnerships in a way that supports sustained enrollment
    • Ensure the execution of recruitment activities at partner organizations
  • External Representation & Travel
    • Serves as an IWU representative to organizations and events as requested from time to time to support pipeline development and student recruitment
    • Frequent travel within the region is an expectation of this role
  • Internal Partners
    • Build strong relationships with enrollment leaders, counselors, and support staff to promote enrollment aims
    • Collaborates with academic leaders to design and execute outreach strategies
  • Data Management & Analysis
    • Oversees the partnerships data management and analysis for assigned verticals
    • Partners with the Salesforce team to ensure the proper storage and utilization of partnership data within university systems
    • Evaluates lead and contact data to support reporting, trend analysis, and relationship management
    • Evaluates weekly, monthly, and annual benchmarks supporting development goals
    • Supports the development of enrollment projections and reporting from enrollment and sales pipelines
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
    • Direct or indirect oversight of all partnership executives, including lead and individual PEs, for the assigned verticals

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • A minimum of a master’s degree is required.

Experience

  • A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in sales, partnership development, account management, and/or higher education recruitment/enrollment is expected with proven results.
