Summary of Position: The Director of Academic Youth Programs creates pipelines of degree seeking enrollment through the development and implementation of various programs on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University catering to teenagers. This position serves the admissions office and academic affairs through coordinating dual enrollment processes for local students and with Christian high schools. This position is funded by a Lilly grant.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with academic departments to create on campus experiences for teenagers that build the students’ knowledge of and value for Indiana Wesleyan
Build relationships with local high schools to identify opportunities to serve students on their behalf (i.e., 21st Century Scholars, financial aid workshops, college search tools, etc.)
Work with the Admissions and Marketing teams to promote and grow the on-campus offerings each year
Collaborate with and utilize appropriate departments and campus leaders to provide attendees with good camp experiences and connections to the IWU community
Manage grant requirements and assist with the grant reporting process
Direct camps as assigned; including hiring, team leadership, participant interaction, schedule management and budget management
Provide annual report on the IWU summer camps contribution to enrollment
Study and implement appropriate American Camp Association best practices
Provide support to the undergraduate admissions team by meeting with prospective students, providing hospitality on visit days and attending recruitment events as needed
Promote dual enrollment opportunities within high schools, homeschool groups and local community organizations in conjunction with the appropriate admissions staff
Work with the Registrar’s office, the web team, academic affairs, admissions and other relevant university personnel to provide a smooth registration and onboarding process for all dual enrollment students
Develop a recruitment plan to increase the number of IWU dual enrollment students choosing IWU for their degree
Assists select Christian high schools with the promotion, application, enrollment, onboarding, billing, and faculty approval for dual enrollment courses taught on their campuses
Assist the VP for Enrollment with other tasks as requested
Supervise the Program Coordinator position

Bachelor's Degree Required
Experience
Professional Experience in the field of administration or education
Participation in a non-profit organization and grant management is desired
