Job Title: Graphic Designer
Reporting Relationship: Executive Director of Brand & Creative Marketing
Unit: Central Administration

Campus Location: Maxwell Center, Marion, IN
Summary of Position: The Graphic Designer is responsible for translating marketing objectives into creative strategies, concepts and designs while providing conceptualized design elements and services in a variety of media forms for use in IWU marketing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design solutions that meet marketing strategies from concept to completion
Collaborates with Design Manager to assist with developing strategy for visual messaging and concepts
Provides design work to include, promotional pieces, various print and digital advertisements, publications and recruitment pieces, and templates for email broadcasting
Prepares work to be completed by collecting information and materials. Collects information and materials by communicating with Design Manager about specific needs and desires
Demonstrates a concept by designing rough layout regarding size, composition, font style and size, and other related aesthetic concepts
Maintains technical knowledge regarding design software and design trends by attending design workshops; reviews professional publications; participates in professional societies
Assist with other duties as assigned

Education
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a design-related degree
Experience
Five to seven (5-7) years of experience preferred
Required Skills
Excellent skills with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)
Ability to work in a MAC environment preferred
Superior communication skills
Excellent knowledge of technology for use in e-commerce and e-business applications
Ability to work independently
The ability to work under time constraints and meet quick deadlines
Excellent organizational abilities
Understanding of and commitment to the spiritual mission of the University
