Job Title: Enrollment Communication Manager

Reporting Relationship: Executive Director, Enrollment Technologies

Unit: National & Global

Department: SEP Strategic Enrollment & Partnerships

Campus Location: Online/Remote

Summary of Position:    The Enrollment Communication Manager is responsible for designing, developing, testing, documenting, and administering enrollment communication strategies to support middle-of-funnel enrollment goals (e.g., nurturing, engagement, conversion, and loyalty). The position will identify target personas and segmentations, design communication journeys, utilize technology to develop and administer these journeys, conduct regular testing to optimize performance, and evaluate these collective efforts.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Team & Culture
    • Aligns with the high-performance team and culture that models the posture and values of N&G
    • Holds to a strong culture of accountability that ensures optimal performance for the enrollment technology systems and customer service efforts
    • Establishes a posture of learning for high performance and results 
  • Persona & Segmentation Development
    • Collaborates with data, marketing, and enrollment teams to identify target student persons, allowing for the segmentation of prospects across programs, populations, and other markers
    • Develops documentation to describe and identify these personas and segmentations, including sociodemographic, behavioral, and other characteristics 
  • Contact Journey Design
    • Designs and plans contact journeys to support middle-of-the-funnel enrollment goals (e.g., nurturing, engagement, conversion, and loyalty), personalized communication based on personas and segmentations, and testing and optimization
    • Designs and implements A/B testing protocols to optimize contact strategies. Ensure email compliance within Marketing Cloud in support of CAN-SPAM, CASL, and GDPR 
  • Contact Journey Development
    • Collaborates with members of the enrollment technology to develop audience segmentations, contact journey flows, and communication outputs (e.g., email, text, etc.) with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
    • Uses WYSIWYG tools to develop emails, texts, and other communication outputs. Uses embedded and other AI tools to test and validate copy, technical design, and flow
    • Administers the various contact journeys from start to finish 
  • Evaluation
    • Collaborates with enrollment and marketing leadership to identify key performance indicators and metrics for contact strategies
    • Ensures the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and other analytical tools to support this evaluation 
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in digital marketing automation

Required Skills

  • Strong writing and design skills
  • Technical skills in HTML and CSS for developing communication outputs
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other email solutions (e.g., MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc.)
  • Ability to manage business requirements, solution design and configuration, and testing.  
  • Personal discipline to successfully manage multiple, complex, concurrent projects
  • Able to meet deadlines with competing demands and responsibilities in a demanding work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures 
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities
  • Ability to prioritize work and analyze interdependencies
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve business problems
