Summary of Position:    Reporting to the Assistant Director for Clinical Experiences, the Coordinator will work daily to serve as a liaison with educational partners to secure clinical placements, assist program candidates, secure memorandums of understanding, and conduct all required program tracking and data collection as required. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring program candidates are placed in diverse clinical settings and will work with the Assistant Director to develop and maintain accurate records associated with clinical experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison with educational partners to coordinate all clinical experiences to ensure meeting all program, licensure and accreditation requirements 
  • Maintain all systems and processes for clinical placements and liaison responsibilities 
  • Coordinate the collection and dissemination of required documentation for all clinical experiences to include, but not limited to: Background checks, Candidate transcripts, and Placement forms 
  • Coordinate memorandums of understanding with all educational partners 
  • Manage program documentation and tracking to include, but not limited to: Immunization records, Background check expiration, Clinical placements, Placement diversity data, Memorandums of understanding, and Mentor agreements 
  • In the execution of daily responsibilities, comply with all FERPA requirements per university policy 
  • Participate in meetings as requested
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.


  • Two (2) years of college (Associate degree) required; Bachelor's degree preferred; Preschool -12th grade experience preferred


  • Previous Preschool -12th grade education experience or higher education experience preferred
  • Previous experience working with basic information technologies (such as email, Word/pdf documents, databases, spreadsheets, etc.) required

  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills for relating effectively with students, faculty, staff, and educational partners
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to set priorities in a multi-task environment
  • Possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Possess the ability to work independently and collaboratively
