Duties and Responsibilities

• Be proficient in the skills taught in the simulation lab
• Review the nursing procedures and be able to demonstrate the skills with 100% accuracy
• Instruct nursing students as they learn safe patient care through: Guided practice, Clinical simulations, Interventions learned in procedure classes and Competency testing
• Assist in setting up equipment for practicing, classes, and simulations
• Help maintain an inventory list of equipment, supplies, videos, etc. 
• Proactively assist students and faculty using the lab and anticipate their needs in a friendly, supportive manner
• Help maintain the organization of the Patient Care Simulation Lab: keep areas clean and orderly; put away supplies as needed; organize storage areas

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

• Bachelors in Science of Nursing

Experience

• At least eighteen (18) months of RN experience

Required Skills

• Current Indiana Nursing License, BLS certification, Excellent communication skills, Integrity in evaluating student performance
