The Director of Regional Management plays a vital role in the smooth operation and success of the Education Centers of Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU). These sites are part of the regional education centers located throughout Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky and sit within the National & Global unit of IWU. Each center strives to partner with their community to meet its educational needs. Providing professional meeting space, in addition to educational programs for working adults, allows IWU to build these partnerships while serving the local community.
The Director of Regional Management will serve as the direct leader of specified site operations, leading and supporting staff members in the operations and conferencing functions for those sites.
This role is suited for someone who is highly relational and has a love of problem-solving and innovation. In addition, skills related to supervising personnel, customer service, sales, building management, team building, project management, and negotiation.
He/she assumes primary responsibility to lead, direct, and oversee the sites and staffing for daily campus operations at the specified Education Centers. Supervises regional operational staff at multiple locations and provides leadership of these centers. Assists the Assistant Vice President for Operations and Regional Management and Vice President for Learner Success & Regional Workforce Engagement with initiatives and projects as needed.

The Alliance Garden Manager position serves the Alliance Garden in the capacity determined by the director/USDA Grant Primary Investigator. Primary responsibilities include managing the Alliance Gardens, overseeing the USDA Research, Education and Extension Undergraduate (REEU) Fellows, and serving as a liaison to the community. This person must work independently, be self-motivated, and be disciplined with time management. This role should meet the following outcomes: facilitation of timely planting and harvest; aesthetic, well-kept garden properties; and proper winterization of gardens. This seasonal employee will assist in managing and training the REEU fellows, interns, and student garden employees. Therefore, this person must have good organization and communication skills. Additionally, this person must be experienced in record keeping, as they will be expected to assist in data keeping required by the USDA grant and as well as maintain productivity logs for the gardens.
This role must adhere to all safety regulations and IWU safety policy. The manager must comply with any processes and procedures established by Indiana Wesleyan University administration.

• OTA-110: Foundations of OTI: Balance of Personal Performance and Well-Being and Professional Responsibilities (2 credit hours)
o Introduction to occupational performance/occupational deprivation and balance in health and wellness with an emphasis on one’s own personal narrative and self-knowledge in a global and multicultural world from a personal and professional perspective. History of OT coinciding with the church and care of the sick and marginalized. Introduction to the foundations of OT practice.
• OTA-240: Functional Anatomy/Kinesiology (4 credit hours)
o Identify and apply understanding of skeletal and neuromuscular systems, locating selected bones, bony landmarks, joints, muscle origins/insertions/innervations, and functional applications to occupations and the biomechanics of human motion. Application of ergonomic principles to body mechanics, lifting and prevention education for OT practitioners and other professionals. Competency in selected assessments and clinical therapeutic applications.
• OTA-250: Occupational Therapy Theory and Concepts (3 credit hours)
o Continuation of introduction to models, theories, frames of reference, and applications in guiding selection of occupations and activities. Exploration of student’s own occupational history including values clarification, cultural and spiritual influences and meanings. Development of critical thinking in performing occupation-based activity analysis, developing goal-directed activities, modifications, grading and adapting, and ensuring safety precautions through the creative arts and therapeutic media towards OT goal directed outcomes.
