Job Title: Assistant Football Coach (Part-time)

Reporting Relationship: Head Football Coach

Unit: IWU-Marion

Department: Intercollegiate Athletics-IWU Marion

Campus Location: Recreation & Wellness Center

Summary of Position:    Indiana Wesleyan University seeks applicants for the position of Assistant Football Coach. This position will coach and serve as an assistant to the Offensive or Defensive Coordinator and will include recruitment, camp ops, scouting, and film breakdown.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coaching and serving as an assistant to the Offensive or Defensive Coordinator
  • Recruiting qualified student athletes
  • Use of recruiting software
  • Camp operations
  • Scouting
  • Film breakdown
  • Monitoring academic progress of student-athletes
  • Other duties assigned by the Athletic Department

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Experience

  • One to three (1-3) Years of High School or Collegiate Coaching Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures

Required Skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of computer applications for recruiting and video exchange and breakdown
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work weekends & evenings and also to travel
