Job Title: Coordinator of International Student Programs and Faculty Support

Reporting Relationship:

Unit: National & Global

Department: NG International Recruitment-NGBL

Campus Location: NGM Building, Marion, IN

Summary of Position:    This role is responsible for key faculty coordination activities, including scheduling assigned instructors to courses, assisting faculty with resolving problems, and processing adjunct instructor payroll. In addition, this person will periodically review the instructor’s activity to ensure that expectations set by the schools for instructing the course are met.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify courses in need of faculty and teaching assistants and send offers and contracts to adjunct instructors 
  • Assist the International Student Program team in planning coverage of student residencies by faculty and teaching assistants
  • Provide general support to faculty and overall International Student Programs team during required student residencies 
  • Manage faculty and teaching assistant travel and accommodation needs while attending student residencies 
  • Manage all International Student Programs reimbursement and purchase card reconciliation 
  • Initial point of contact for faculty care issues and ensuring resolution via appropriate channels
  • Assist the Learning Management System team in ensuring proper section and faculty assignment structure 
  • Initial point of contact for faculty care issues and ensuring resolution via appropriate channels 
  • Enter adjunct pay for courses assigned

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required

Experience

  • Three (3) years in higher education preferred

Required Skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to set and reset priorities in a fast-paced, multi-task work environment
  • Ability to attend to details with a high level of accuracy
  • Sensitivity for managing confidential information
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel
  • Experience working within a database environment helpful, but not required.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies or issues and propose solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently
