Job Title: Registration Change Counselor

Reporting Relationship: Director of Academic Advising

Unit: National & Global

Campus Location: Marion, IN; Cincinnati, OH; Florence, KY; Indianapolis, IN; or Cleveland, OH Education Centers

Summary of Position:    The Registration Change Counselor will manage all aspects of changes in registration for students in non-residential programs including Communication with students, facilitators, program directors, associate/regional deans, financial aid, accounting, and resources. Analyze each request to clarify the impact the change will have on the student’s financial aid. Counsel the best course of action to minimize negative financial aid ramifications for the student.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the contact person for all changes in registration for students in non-residential programs 
  • Understand each core program’s requirements and what constitutes degree completion for a student 
  • Understand basic financial aid requirements, academic year criteria, and financial aid ramifications to the requested registration change
  • Determine the student’s eligibility for a Leave of Absence (LOA) and communicate the LOA process to the student 
  • Maintain communication with program directors and associate/regional deans concerning exceptions and unusual circumstances

  • Bachelor degree preferred
