Job Title: Integrative Health Coach (Contracted)

Reporting Relationship: Director of Health Ventures

Unit: National & Global

Department: Health Hub Enterprise - IWU-National & Global

Campus Location: Fort Wayne Education Center, Fort Wayne, IN

Summary of Position:    The Integrative Hub is seeking credentialed Health Coaches to join our care team as independent contractors. Working in coordination with our licensed clinical providers, coaches help clients understand and implement their personalized health plans. The Health Coach serves as the behavioral bridge between clinical recommendation and lived practice, using evidence-based, client-centered processes that cultivate lasting lifestyle change.

This role is rooted in IWU's commitment to holistic education, community care, and Christ-centered service. Coaches are skilled facilitators of human transformation, empowering individuals to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives through accountability, self-discovery, and personalized behavioral strategy.

Within our practitioner-led, coordinated care model, coaches do not direct the client's journey. Instead, they act as accountability partners who draw out each client's own insight, strengths, and intrinsic motivation to support self-determined health goals.

Coaches operate within a clearly defined professional scope. Assessment of clinical data, diagnosis, prescriptive authority, and medical interpretation remain exclusively with our licensed providers. The coach's expertise lies in the behavioral dimension of health: goal clarification, motivational support, mobilizing personal strengths, and building self-management strategies.

Coaches holding additional nationally or state-recognized credentials may draw on that expertise within its appropriate scope, provided dual roles are clearly disclosed, documented, and maintained with full ethical transparency from the start of the client relationship.

Health Coaches are engaged as 1099 independent contractors, maintain their own professional liability insurance, and manage their own schedules in coordination with clinic availability.

  • Uphold the highest standards of client confidentiality, ethical practice, and professional conduct within a Christian academic environment
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current in integrative health and lifestyle medicine best practices
