The Director of Software Development and IT Resource Management position is primarily responsible for leading and managing the software development team to develop, maintain, and support the university’s institutional software systems. Systems include the development and integration of Ellucian’s Colleague, web forms, development, document imaging and the SharePoint portal. In addition, the director is primarily responsible for project and job management, scheduling, and reporting of developers. The director is a member of the IT Leadership Team and the IT Executive Team and participates in establishing its goals, strategies, and performance indicators for success. In addition, the director oversees the project prioritization process and IT resource capacity planning for projects included in the IT Unified Project Portfolio. The director has a close relationship with the Project Management Office (PMO) team. The director assists PMO project managers and business analysts to gain insight into resource availability and allocation and assigns resources to prioritized projects.
