Summary of Position: Indiana Wesleyan University invites applications for an adjunct Engineering faculty on the Marion, Indiana campus. This adjunct faculty position will join the growing Engineering department educating students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree with a specialization in mechanical, computer, civil, design, or electrical engineering. The ideal candidate will have a calling for teaching undergraduate engineering courses such as Solid Mechanics, Mechanics of Materials, Urban Hydrology, Structural Steel Design, Geomatics Engineering, Computer Aided Design with AutoCAD, Engineering Economy, and Machine Component Design. Applicants should show evidence of personal faith in Jesus Christ, full agreement with the Wesleyan-Arminian theology, and commitment to liberal arts learning and the integration of Christian faith and learning. The Division of Mathematics, Engineering and Computer Sciences offers studies in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Mathematics Education, and Statistics and serves approximately 120 students in these academic areas. Start date Spring 2026.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching 3-9 credit hours of general engineering and discipline-specific engineering courses at all undergraduate levels

Education
Master's degree in Engineering
Experience
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work with diverse faculty, staff, and students
Prior undergraduate teaching experience preferred
Required Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to foster a supportive learning environment for students, and collaboratively work with other faculty members and staff
Ability to use learning management systems, various Microsoft applications for lectures, and Microsoft Outlook for emails
Proficiency with appropriate engineering equipment
Attention to detail in grading and record-keeping
