The Assistant Esports Coach – Smash Bros. Ultimate position will oversee the IWU Smash Bros. program by attending all practices, matches and team events, providing constructive feedback for improvement, managing rosters and working individually with student-athletes to ensure progress and growth. • The Assistant Esports Coach – Smash Bros. Ultimate will also be responsible for working with the Head Esports Coach to monitor academic progress of the members of the Smash Bros. team’s progress. They must also ensure that the students they oversee are able to grow within the Athletic Department’s motto of Both/And, as well as the Esports team’s core values of Kindness, Belonging, Integrity, Humility and Courage.
Mechanical Engineering Faculty Faculty (Full Time) Marion, IN
Indiana Wesleyan University seeks applications for a Mechanical Engineering faculty on the Marion, Indiana campus. This full-time permanent faculty position will join the growing Engineering department educating students pursuing a BSE (Bachelor of Science in Engineering) degree with a specialization in mechanical, computer, civil, design, or electrical engineering. The ideal candidate will combine engaging teaching with scholarly endeavors, preferably involving undergraduate research and/or industry engagement. Expertise is preferred in the thermal-fluid science areas of mechanical engineering. Candidates should have the ability to teach courses such as fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, design of thermal systems, engineering materials, and senior design. Applicants should show evidence of personal faith in Jesus Christ, full agreement with the Wesleyan-Arminian theology, and commitment to liberal arts learning and the integration of Christian faith and learning. The Division of Mathematics, Engineering and Computer Sciences offers studies in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Mathematics Education, and Statistics and serves approximately 90 students in these academic areas. Social Work Faculty Faculty (Full Time) Marion, IN
The Division of The Division of Behavioral Sciences at Indiana Wesleyan University seeks applications for a full-time Social Work Faculty position. This individual would be the Director of Field Education for the BSW and Hybrid MSW programs on the residential Marion, Indiana campus. The Division of Behavioral Sciences is home to three majors: social work, psychology, and pre-art therapy, as well as a minor in sociology. We have 12 full-time faculty members and about 250 student majors. The Bachelor of Social Work program has been accredited by the Council on Social Work Education for more than 25 years, and the Master of Social Work hybrid program was added four years ago. The ideal candidate will combine teaching with scholarly endeavors. The Regional Assistant plays a vital role in the operation and success of Indiana Wesleyan University’s Education Center. Each center strives to partner with the community to meet its educational needs. Providing professional meeting space allows IWU to build these partnerships while serving the local community. This role is well suited for someone who is energetic and relational, has a passion to serve, organizationally gifted, motivated by contributing to a team, and enjoys finding solutions. In addition, skills related to customer service, communication, self-motivation, and attention to detail will help make the Regional Assistant successful. The Regional Assistant provides administrative and operational support to regional center leaders and may be involved in assisting with daily functions of more than one regional center.
