Summary of Position: This Adjunct Faculty, FNP/PMHNP Site Visitor position will provide support to the Graduate Nurse Practitioner Program with a variety of tasks related to students and preceptors within the clinical setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete faculty site visits to FNP/PMHNP students as assigned.
Site visitors always have the option to accept or deny a request to make a site visit.
Observe students within the clinical setting.
Confer with the preceptor regarding students’ progress.
Evaluate students’ progress within the clinical setting.
Assess the appropriateness of preceptor and clinical setting.
Complete a Faculty Evaluation form for the student.
Complete a Faculty Evaluation of the Preceptor and Clinical Site form.
Submit all evaluations to the course facilitator and gradnur.forms@indwes.edu. - (Essential)
Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Education
Master of Science, Nursing
Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Experience
Minimum seven years’ work experience in the relevant business industry preferred
Teaching experience preferred (Not required)
Environment:
Clinical office environment
Travel to site locations

Excellent organizational skills
