Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct faculty site visits to FNP students as assigned (with option to accept or decline visit request).
• Observe and evaluate student performance in a clinical setting.
• Consult with the preceptor regarding students’ progress.
• Assess the suitability of the preceptor and clinical environment.
• Submit all evaluations to the course facilitator and the Division of Nursing.
  • Complete a Faculty Evaluation form for the student.
  • Complete a Faculty Evaluation form of the Preceptor’s effectiveness and Clinical Site appropriateness. - (Essential)

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

• Master of Science in Nursing
• Current Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner

Experience

• Minimum seven years’ work experience in the relevant business industry preferred
• Teaching experience preferred (Not required)

• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Strong organization and word processing skills.
• Professional handling of confidential information.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with students, faculty, and preceptors.
• Excellent written, oral, and problem-solving skills.
• Capacity to represent Indiana Wesleyan University, Division of Nursing, professionally.
