Summary of Position: Indiana Wesleyan University's Upward Bound (IWU-UB), is a federally funded program designed to provide potential first-generation and/or low income students in Marion and Mississinewa High Schools with academic skills and motivation necessary to succeed in their pre-college studies. The Upward Bound Office Manager is a motivated team-player responsible for the coordination and support of the general day to day administrative, clerical and operational tasks related to the Indiana Wesleyan's Upward Bound (IWU-UB) program.
Duties and Responsibilities
Present a professional, helpful atmosphere and positive attitude for Indiana Wesleyan University's Upward Bound (IWU-UB), students and their parents, staff, visitors and callers
Provide customer service by greeting students and visitors, answering calls, and providing successful resolution of routine administrative issues relative to IWU-UB
Provide administrative support to the IWU-UB Director and Assistant Director, including the maintenance and tracking of office records, expenditures, budgets and calendars, collection and compilation of data, preparation of correspondence and other materials, operation of standard office equipment (copier/fax machine/scanner), supply ordering and inventory, as well as the processing of requisitions, invoices and other requests, the coordination of travel including setting up student and staff travel arrangements
Coordinate all program essentials and materials for academic tutoring, Saturday and summer sessions, including submitting work orders, obtaining hospitality items and setting up facilities
Coordinate ongoing correspondence with IWU-UB students and parents
Exhibit sensitivity toward Upward Bound participants while honoring the confidentiality and privacy of student records, as well as sensitive information
Perform other duties as assigned

Education
Associate's Degree required
Experience
Minimum of three (3) years of closely related work experience or a combination of closely related work experience and completion of a relevant educational degree equal to six years is required
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with historically minoritized individuals

Systems & Software – proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant position software programs
Independent work – able to work independently with limited supervision and able to self-motivate
Multi-task – Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to swiftly assess a situation, determine a logical course of action, and apply the appropriate response
