Summary of Position:    The Ministry Resource Manager provides leadership and operational oversight for Lantern and the Scholar Practitioner Institutes (SPIs). This role ensures smooth execution of projects, content delivery, and community engagement while supporting Wesley Seminary in advancing strategic goals. The Ministry Resource Manager manages workflows, coordinates contributors and resource development, and fosters a vibrant learning community that equips ministry leaders.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Program Oversight
    • Manage the daily operations of Lantern and SPI initiatives—keeping projects on time, on budget, and aligned with Seminary goals
    • Track progress through reports and dashboards, anticipate and solve problems, and work closely with marketing, events, faculty, and leadership to ensure successful promotions and launches

  • Content Management & Platform Operations
    • Manage the planning, scheduling, and publishing of Lantern content—articles, courses, videos, and podcasts—while ensuring high standards of quality, accessibility, and theological integrity
    • Keep content organized for long-term use and stay up to date on digital learning and ministry trends to improve processes and tools for greater impact

  • Community Engagement & Communication
    • Lead communication efforts on the Lantern platform—managing announcements, newsletters, and interactive updates
    • Create a welcoming, safe community that encourages participation, and you’ll gather feedback to keep improving Lantern and SPI experiences

  • Team & Contributor Coordination
    • Recruit and support contributors, instructors, and contractors—like writers, videographers, and assessors—while managing contracts, assignments, and payments
    • Ensure contributors are equipped and aligned with program goals, and you’ll share updates through reports, presentations, and communications

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, ministry, or related field (Master’s preferred)

Experience

  • Three to five (3-5) years’ experience in project management, operations, or content management (nonprofit, ministry, or academic setting preferred)

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace)
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Alignment with the mission and values of Wesley Seminary, Indiana Wesleyan University, and The Wesleyan Church
