Summary of Position: The Jackson Library Graduate Assistant (GA) plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the circulation department at the Jackson Library. This role requires a commitment to excellence in service, attention to detail, and an alignment with the university’s mission of Christ-centered education. The GA will contribute to daily library operations, provide leadership and direction to undergraduate circulation staff, and support the spiritual and academic mission of the university. Additionally, the GA will lead alongside the student supervisors and Circulation Department Supervisor in order to cultivate a safe and creative environment in the library for all Indiana Wesleyan students to enjoy.
Duties and Responsibilities
Library closing duties
Provide user centric services and training for circulation assistants
Perform collection maintenance and shelving oversight
Create book displays
Team collaboration and support
Participation in semester calendar events and meetings

Education
Enrollment in Graduate Program at Indiana Wesleyan University
Experience
Previous experience in a library or customer service setting
Interest in academic librarianship or information services or familiarity with library systems
Supervisory experience a plus
Required Skills
Enrollment in a graduate program at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Strong commitment to customer service and Christian values.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
