Job Title: Recreation & Wellness Facility Monitor (Part-Time) (Temp)

Reporting Relationship: Associate Athletic Director Facilities & Recreation

Unit: IWU-Marion

Department: Intercollegiate Athletics-IWUM

Campus Location: Recreation & Wellness Center

Summary of Position:    The Department of Campus Recreation’s mission is to provide a wide variety of quality recreation, sports, fitness, and leisure activities that will increase the overall wellness of the campus community and to provide dynamic programming that enhances leadership and social development in an environment that is fair, safe, and Christ-centered.

The Facility Monitor shall serve for the summer session (typically May – August). Preference will be for Monitors to work the full summer term.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend all staff meetings and training sessions
  • Engage with students, faculty, staff, and members as they participate in Rec activities
  • Assist with tasks as assigned by the supervisor
  • Confront those who are not abiding by RWC rules and regulations
  • Provide safe and effective weight room help

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education
