Job Title: Assistant Director of Nurturing Children Through Worship and Prayer

Summary of Position: The Assistant Director of Nurturing Children Through Worship and Prayer is responsible for providing support for the Nurturing Children Through Worship and Prayer initiative of the Strengthening Ministry with Children Coordination Program. This support includes administrative work, networking with 150 non-profit organizations, and some travel. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Director of the Nurturing Children Through Worship and Prayer initiative in order to accomplish these duties. Fluency in a language other than English is strongly preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in teaching and coaching at online and in-person gatherings
Recommend short and long term goals and objectives to the Director
Track updates and changes in databases for grantees in the Nurturing Children Through Worship and Prayer Initiative
Engage in deep listening and relationship building with a diverse group of grantees through Zoom, email, and face to face gatherings
Maintain up to date notes in databases on correspondences with grantees
Develop and coordinate means to seek regular input from Coordination Program key constituencies regarding the quality of programs and services
Act as an internal consultant to bring attention and solutions to institutional priorities
Contribute to the Nurturing Children Through Worship and Prayer annual report
Generate innovative ideas to promote grant initiatives
Assist the Director on site visits to various organizations
Participate in staff meetings and retreats
Attend and support the Coordination Program’s annual gathering
Assist in designing of resources
Lead special projects as assigned

Education
Bachelor’s Degree with preference given to Christian Ministries, Communication, Business, and Marketing emphases
Experience
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
Experience with strategic marketing
Experience coaching/consulting various organizations and individuals
Fluency in English and an additional language is preferred
Required Skills
Familiarity with various communication platforms
Ability to teach on matters related to Christian formation both online and in-person to individuals from diverse communities and cultures
Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to articulate complex messages to a diverse constituency
Strong creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and responsibly while managing numerous projects simultaneously
Ability to represent the Coordination Program in a professional manner and foster positive working relationships
Ability to be flexible and adjust strategies when necessary
