Summary of Position: Adjunct faculty members are experienced professionals with the responsibility of providing a quality learning experience for Indiana Wesleyan University students. The adjunct faculty member will be current within his or her discipline, and demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning with related professional experience. (All onsite adjuncts are also expected to teach online.)
Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Education
Preferred: Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy or a related health/medical field
Experience
Teaching geriatric occupational therapy intervention
Teaching biostatistics at the graduate level with applications to occupational therapy research
Teaching therapeutic modalities in preparation for occupational therapy intervention
Required Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of the occupational therapy code of conduct
Demonstrated teaching abilities
Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft products
Demonstrated knowledge of AOTA and NBCOT ethics policies/regulations
