Job Title: Accounting Faculty

Reporting Relationship: Chair, DeVoe Division of Business

Department: Business

Campus Location: Marion, Indiana Campus, Maxwell Center

Summary of Position:    Indiana Wesleyan University and the DeVoe Division of Business seeks applications for a full-time Accounting faculty position on the Marion, Indiana campus. The ideal candidate should show evidence of personal faith in Jesus Christ, full agreement with the Wesleyan-Arminian theology, and commitment to liberal arts learning and the integration of Christian faith and learning.

The DeVoe Division of Business is a Christ-centered academic community that provides students the opportunity for personal, professional and spiritual development in preparation for a life of service, applying sound business principles with wisdom and creativity. The vision of the DeVoe Division of Business is to prepare business professionals who are resilient and committed to meeting the needs of others in a Christ-like manner. The DeVoe mission and vision are evidenced by the interactions among the DeVoe faculty, staff and students and the relationships that are developed based on mutual respect and care.

Start date will be spring 2025 pending funding.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engage in the following: Teaching Student advising Mentoring undergraduate majors Divisional committee work Assessment of academic programs. 

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • Earned doctorate or pursing a doctorate by December 2024
  • CPA designation preferred

Experience

  • Candidates with practical and teaching experience in the accounting profession
    are preferred

Required Skills

  • Applicants should demonstrate the ability to combine engaged teaching with scholarly endeavors
