Job Title: Counseling Adjunct Professor - Onsite/Online

Unit: National & Global

Department: School of Integrated Health -Counseling

Campus Location: Central Indiana / Online

Summary of Position: Adjunct Faculty will support the program faculty by facilitating the academic and clinical courses within the Master of Arts in Counseling program. Adjunct Faculty will have the opportunity to teach both synchronous and asynchronous courses, as needed by the program.


Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • Required: Master’s degree in counseling or appropriate field
  • Preferred: Doctoral degree

Experience

  • Required: A minimum 2-years of post-licensure work in a counseling-related field
  • Preferred: 5 years of post-licensure work in a counseling-related field

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of online educational delivery tools
  • Demonstrated teaching abilities
  • Demonstrated higher education experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft product
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learners
  • Demonstrated a commitment to building and cultivating diversity through leadership, teaching and/or service
