Job Title: Salesforce Communications Manager

Reporting Relationship: Executive Director, Enrollment Technology

Unit: National & Global

Department: Strategic Enrollment & Partnerships (SEP)

Campus Location: Online/Remote

Summary of Position:    The position is responsible for project management with key stakeholders and effectively collaborating with departments for projects and resources to support N&G. The position also manages the related integration of communication tools, such as Five9 and Mogli, in the Salesforce system.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Team & Culture
    • Aligns with the high-performance team and culture that models the posture and values of N&G
    • Holds to a strong culture of accountability that ensures optimal performance for the Salesforce systems and customer service efforts
    • Establishes a posture of learning for high performance and results
  • Technology Leadership
    • Helps create and manage projects and prioritization plans that align with improve processes, flows, and efficiencies within Salesforce (e.g., Marketing Cloud, Admission and Recruitment, and Student Success Hub), associated tools (e.g., Mogli, Five9, etc.)
    • Align project objectives with goals, and ensure project teams and stakeholders have a common understanding of project deliverables.
  • System Administration
    • Manages and leads the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of communication tools, such as Five9 and Mogli, within the Salesforce instance
    • Supports departments, troubleshoot issues, and works with the TAM at Five9
    • Responsible for outcomes and system functionality in this regard and working in collaboration with the enrollment technology team
  • Project Management
    • Supports the Salesforce team with project management Manages and establishes project timelines, and scope, and guides projects to completion within agreed-upon timelines and standards
    • Generally within Salesforce project, provides the following project management support 
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Project Management, Information Systems, or Business Administration requires an appropriate combination of education and relevant work experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of four (4) years in Salesforce.org or similar CRM software
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification preferred, with additional certifications a plus
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience as a project manager and proven successful project outcomes
  • Technical call center experience as a user and/or administrator using telephony call center systems. (Five9, InContact)
  • Capable of balancing attention to detail with overall project scope to drive results
  • Demonstrate the ability to be forward-thinking and innovative while understanding the needs and capabilities of IWU business processes and technologies
  • Demonstrated experience performing system testing and developing/maintaining test scripts
  • Knowledge of training theory and practices demonstrated by an ability to develop and deliver technical training and user documentation
  • Higher education experience preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in project management
  • Proficient in managing project activities and experience with agile project management methodologies
  • Confident in making decisions, accurate, detailed-oriented, and able to problem solve/analyze
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills and can effectively interact with IWU stakeholders to resolve business issues in a timely manner
  • Exceptional communication and people skills; demonstrated ability to assemble and present information clearly and concisely
  • Must be highly organized, flexible, and able to meet deadlines as prescribed
  • Ability to work independently
