Job Title: Executive Housekeeper (Part-time)

Reporting Relationship: Director of Housekeeping

Unit: IWU-Marion

Department: Facilities Management-IWU Marion

Campus Location: Maintenance Building

Summary of Position:    Under the direction of the President's home or the Director of Housekeeping the Executive Housekeeper will maintain specific cleaning responsibilities in the Presidential Home. This will require the ability to make day to day independent decisions, but requires flexibility to meet specific requirements of the President or the President's spouse. There will be events at the President's home that require support that do not fall within "normal" business hours. This position may be required to support such events. May be required to work overtime as directed by supervision. Additional areas on the campus will be assigned to clean when not working in the Presidential home.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain specified cleaning responsibilities in the Presidential home under the direction of the President's home or the Director of Housekeeping 
  • Assist in preparation and support of events scheduled at the President's home, which at times does not fall within "normal" business hours 
  • This position may be required to work overtime as directed by supervision 

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • High School Diploma

Experience

  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as a team member on detailed day to day tasks
  • Team player

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills
  • Excellent decision-making skills
  • Flexible schedule may be required at times
  • Must have a valid driver's license
