Job Title: Administrative Assistant - Seminary Operations Team

Reporting Relationship: President of Wesley Seminary

Unit: Wesley Seminary

Department: Wesley Seminary, President's Office

Campus Location: Wesley Seminary

Summary of Position:    This position will serve as special assistant to the President of Wesley Seminary providing executive administrative assistance representing the Office of the President to external constituents and overseeing special events hosted by the seminary and the President's office. In addition, this position will assist the Seminary President with travel and meeting coordination.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Calendar management, meeting management, travel planning, etc. for Seminary President, VPO, Director of Seminary Relations 
  • Execute mass communications such from the President’s office, the VPO or Director of Seminary Relations 
  • Meeting Management (Recording and distributing minutes, attending meetings as assigned such as SARC, Operations meeting, etc.)
  • Oversee the planning of Wesleyan Theological Network events, working with the Director of WTN 
  • Coordinate routine communications with WTN
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.


  • Bachelor’s Degree required


  • Previous experience as an executive assistant to a top-tier leader preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English or French/English) candidates and minorities are encouraged to apply

  • Ability to relate and interact well with others
  • Ability to represent the Office of the President with professionalism
  • Event planning experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and compliance with FERPA laws
