Job Title: Clinical Support Coordinator for Graduate Nurse Practitioner Programs

Reporting Relationship: Administrative Assistant/Office Manager

Unit: National & Global

Department: School of Nursing-NGBL

Campus Location: Ott Hall of Sciences & Nursing

Summary of Position:    Responsible for management & organization of key clinical coordination responsibilities including but not limited to orienting students to clinical requirements, orientations, review of preceptor selection, and compiling clinical evaluations/time logs for Graduate Nurse Practitioner (NP) students. Additional responsibilities will include providing customer service and communicating with other departments on issues of common concern.

Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Support:

  • Coordinate and distribute access to clinical resources.
  • Build student electronic folders for clinical documentation.
  • Respond to student questions and clarify expectations for required forms and preceptor selection.
  • Provide support for faculty during clinical courses. 

Workplace Systems and Operations:

  • Organize clinical orientation sessions.
  • Review and maintain video content for student access. Assure currency of clinical documentation of portal resources.
  • Use and improve the electronic clinical file system within the IWU repository system.
  • Work with third-party systems to input and maintain student access and testing.
  • Organize, validate, and report clinical requirements for students.
  • Manage data submitted in electronic clinical files and other storage folders.
  • Coordinate third-party testing for NP programs.

  • Associate Degree required. Bachelor Degree preferred


  • Experience with Microsoft Office and IWU computer systems or willingness to learn IWU computer systems
