Job Title: Institutional Research Assistant

Reporting Relationship: Director of Institutional Research

Unit: Central Administration

Campus Location: John Wesley Admin Bldg

Summary of Position:    The Institutional Research Assistant helps the Director of Institutional Research with office management and various data related tasks. The position contains a mix of both clerical and research duties, and is intended to help IWU’s institutional research function to operate in a smooth manner.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and coordinate the Data Request System (DRS).
  • Coordinate and maintain OIR’s web systems: Fact-Book, Student Consumer site, and OIR portal site.
  • Complete and submit ad-hoc and voluntary data requests.
  • Converse with IWU constituents about their data needs.
  • Assist with OIR scheduling, workflow, and budgeting. Coordinate the AIRCats student program.
  • Organize, maintain, and archive OIR electronic and hard copy files

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • Associates degree (or equivalent credential)
  • A bachelor’s degree with a major or concentration in social/behavioral sciences, business, computers, or
    education is preferred

Experience

  • None required
  • Three years in higher education or office management preferred
