Job Title: Operations Assistant

Reporting Relationship: Assistant Director of Operations

Unit: National & Global

Department: AES Adult Enrollment Services

Campus Location: NGM Building

Summary of Position:    The individual in this position verifies and processes applications for evaluation. Assists with new procedures for application processing as needed. Review eligibility requirements for program on application. The individual in this position will professionally represent the university, the Adult Enrollment Services (AES) department and its programs by building relationships with students, staff and other departments through telephone and email communication.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review applications and required documentation going to evaluation 
  • Validate data entry for supplemental items and transcripts 
  • Review eligibility requirement as it relates to applicant program selections
  • Review and process mail and faxed documentation in CRM 
  • Retrieve and document criminal background checks for students 
  • Review and retrieve documentation presented in various central application systems (CAS) 
  • Support Enrollment Counselors and applicants with application requirements
  • Assist with other tasks that may be assigned 

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • High School Diploma required; Associates Degree preferred

Experience

  • Professional office experience preferred

Required Skills

  • Superior communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of professional telephone and email etiquette
  • Good computer skills with working experience in word processing, spreadsheet applications, email, Internet based programs, and data entry
  • Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage projects from initiation to completion while dealing with multiple interruptions
  • Ability to work independently on tasks and projects as assigned
  • Teamwork oriented mindset
  • Ability to coordinate support needs of professional staff
