Job Title: Associate Director of Institutional Research and Data Analytics

Reporting Relationship: Dean, Institutional Research

Unit: Central Administration

Department: Institutional Academic Research-Central Administration

Campus Location: Maxwell Center, Marion, IN (Hybrid schedule 3-4 days onsite; 1-2 days remote).                

Summary of Position:    The Associate Director of Institutional Research and Data Analytics is broadly responsible for institutional reporting to both external and internal constituencies, compliance with academic regulatory requirements, and data development, analysis, and interpretation of the decisions making process.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete all mandatory reports to governmental and regulatory agencies 
  • Complete all obligatory reports to higher education associates such as ICI, CCCU, and AAUP 
  • Ensure that all required data postings are present, accurate, and up-to-date 
  • Ensure that all required notifications to employees and students are accomplished thoroughly and on time 
  • Provide accurate institutional data and analysis to internal constituencies for decision support 
  • Accomplish the established cycle of national assessment instruments in support of institutional assessment efforts, administering the assessments, compiling the data, analyzing the results 
  • Support the data gathering efforts of university constituencies 
  • As possible, fulfill voluntary data requests from external agencies and constituencies 
  • Create and maintain complex dashboards using Power BI 
  • Provide accurate institutional data for Comprehensive Program Review

Education

  • Masters Preferred

Experience

  • Three (3) years of work experience in educational institutional research, data analysis, or compliance

Required Skills

  • Fluent use of Microsoft Elements: Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
  • Advanced competency in statistics using SPSS, AMOS, Python, or R
  • Fluent use of SQL and complex query building
  • Fluent use of Power BI- dashboard creation and DAX queries
