Duties and Responsibilities

• Produce and manage all technical aspects of events that occur within the Phillipe Performing Arts building including, but not limited to: Music & Theater events, and other campus events
• Facilitate technical aspects of events that occur within the student center - banquet rooms, Globe theater, and Commons area
• Recruit, train, and supervise IWU students in technical skills necessary to facilitate events
• Monitor the inventory, condition of equipment assigned with oversight
  • Arrange for repair and replacement within the budgetary restraints
  • Perform preventive maintenance

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

• Bachelors Degree Required
• Certification on sound, lighting, & media equipment preferred, but not required

Experience

• Prior experience working with sound, light, & media equipment in a live environment is needed to be successful

• Attentive to details
• Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
• Ability to work without close supervision
