Duties and Responsibilities

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

• Preferred Credential: Master's degree in communications.
  
  

Experience

• Teaching experience in a university setting,
• At least one year of online teaching experience required.
• A minimum of three years of work experience in the field of communications (PR, Communications Specialist, etc.)

Required Skills

• Mastery of course content;
• Knowledge of current communications theories;
• Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., BrightspaceCanvas LMS, Blackboard Learn);
• Experience with digital media tools (video, podcasting, social media platforms) ;
• Basic multimedia content creation and evaluation;
• Understanding of digital communication trends and audience engagement;
• Knowledge of professional, organizational, and digital communication practices.
