The Director of Accessibility and Accommodations acts as the disability officer for all IWU students (Marion, National & Global, and Seminary). The Director also serves as the primary contact point of academic support services for ESL students enrolled in IWU-Marion, School of Nursing pre-licensure programs, and Occupational Therapy Programs. The Director provides academic support, advocacy, accommodations determination, and skills training for students with disabilities and ESL students. Training for faculty and staff are also a major part of the role responsibilities. The person in this position must be an evangelical Christian committed to the Lordship of Christ-this means having a Biblical worldview and involves a transformation in every area of one's lifestyle, including having strong character formed by the regular practice of Christian spiritual disciplines. The Director of Disability Services should have a developed vision for what God can do through the disability services program at IWU and through the other services provided by Center for Student Success.

The Director is responsible for all aspects of learning experience design within the programmatic curriculum development process.
