Job Title: Assistant Director, Enrollment Operations

Reporting Relationship: Associate Vice President, Enrollment Operations and Student Services

Unit: National & Global

Department: Enrollment Operations & Student Services

Campus Location: NGM Building, Marion, IN/Online (Hybrid Schedule - 3 days onsite; 2 days online)

Summary of Position:    The Assistant Director – Enrollment Operations will be responsible for understanding all aspects of the enrollment/class start/registration process as well as leading and managing the class start enrollment team. This position works collaboratively with many areas of Nation& Global to ensure quality enrollment processes for students.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct and manage the Class Start team. Understand and coordinate all aspects of these positions, manage the workflow in each, and assist in each area during peak times of activity, vacations, etc. 
  • Understand the structure of the degree audit within the university student information system and maintain, revise, and make exceptions as necessary. Know and understand all requirements for National and Global programs
  • Maintain and update Non-Standard term structure dates and standardized start dates. Work with schools and enrollment team leaders to determine starts for each year
  • Monitor class sections for enrollment size and number, ensure appropriate number of course offerings are available
  • Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of any new processes or updates in the Colleague system as it relates to enrollment and class start

  • Bachelor degree required; Master degree preferred


  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
  • Previous experience in higher education preferred

Required Skills

  • Proficient in software technology including Access, Microsoft Office Suite, student SIS systems
  • Ability to manage personnel in various areas of responsibility
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills for relating effectively with
    constituents of the University
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work without supervision and be a self-starter
  • Strong organizational skills
