Job Title: IT Project Manager & Business Analyst

Campus Location: Maxwell Center, Marion, IN with a hybrid schedule (3-4 days/week in office; 1-2 days remote).
Summary of Position: The IT Project Manager & Business Analyst, as a member of the IT Project Management Office, is responsible for developing and managing technology projects. This will include tracking costs, establishing project timelines and scope, and guiding projects to completion within agreed upon timelines and standards. Responsibilities include developing project plans and budgets, communicating with key stakeholders, effectively collaborating with project leads and resources, developing and maintaining project timelines, associated milestones, and communication plans, and managing project resources in accordance with professional project management standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Create & manage project plans
Define project schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress
Align project objectives with institutional goals, and ensure project teams and stakeholders have a common understanding of project deliverables
Deliver technology solutions on schedule and within budget parameters
Assist project team with design and development tasks
Lead the process of issue identification and resolution
Manage risk tracking process
Monitor and manage scope and alert stakeholders and technology resources in the event of scope changes
Oversee project documentation, including business cases, charters, and project plans
Cultivate partnerships between clients, technical teams, and stakeholders/sponsors
Manage multiple projects simultaneously

Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, IT, or a related field
Experience
Minimum four (4+) years’ work experience in a fast-paced professional environment
Preferred: Experience in higher education
Proven ability to onboard and facilitate the execution of complex business projects
Customer-facing experience in scoping and analyzing business requirements and objectives
Proven customer engagement experience
Experience with standard project management processes, including waterfall and Agile
Required Skills
Proven work experience in project management or an equivalent combination of training and experience necessary to complete the responsibilities of the position
Broad knowledge of business practices, project management and IT systems
Proficiency with related software tools including but not limited to Smartsheet, JIRA, MS Excel, MS Project
Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a wide range of personalities
Demonstrated ability to be forward-thinking and innovative, while understanding client needs and the capabilities of IWU business processes and technologies
Diplomatic and tactful written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence others
Deliver powerful presentations and articulate in a confident manner that engages others
Strong customer service skills and ability to foster this in others
Be an independent, self-initiated worker, as well as a team player
Capable of balancing attention to detail with overall project scope to drive results
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Recognizes problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent. Evaluates alternatives and drives to optimal solutions
Ability to be versatile and handle multiple projects and re-prioritizations simultaneously
Strong planning and organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking
Ability to build business cases and action plans
Proactively engage present and future stakeholders in design, priority setting and implementation
Demonstrate organizational savvy; understand the organizational functions and general processes
Possess meeting management and facilitation skills
Demonstrate understanding and application of best practices in project management methodologies
