Job Title: Military Billing Specialist

Summary of Position: The Military Billing Specialist maintains relationships with military-affiliated students and their payment systems. The specialist will provide accurate communication to internal and external clients and maintain timely invoicing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Receive and maintain records of vouchers and letters of credit received from students, providing the necessary notifications to Financial Aid and Student Account Services team members
Invoice companies and government agencies according to vouchers and letters of credit on a timely basis
Provide timely customer service to students, university departments, and military agencies
Serve as liaison for and coordinate information with university Certifying Officials
Perform regular audits of military student accounts for appropriate management of federal and state financial aid funds, and refunds to military agencies as required
Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.
Education
Associates degree or work equivalent
Experience
Familiar with military education benefits preferred
Bookkeeping experience desired
Required Skills
Ability to work accurately with attention to detail and numbers
Analytical thinking skills
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
Excellent interpersonal skills for relating effectively with students, university departments, and military agencies
Ability to structure work systems and organize effectively
