Assistant Men’s Volleyball Coach Administrative (Full Time) Marion, IN
The Assistant Men’s Volleyball Coach must be committed to the Lordship of Christ. This not only means having the correct intellectual belief, but it also involves a radical transformation in every area of one’s lifestyle. The Coach must continually seek opportunities to grow and possess strong character traits through the regular practice of the spiritual disciplines (e.g., prayer, meditation, Bible reading) and to develop ministry values that express what God can do in impacting the student athletes with whom they interact. The primary role of the Assistant Men’s Volleyball Coach will be to spearhead the recruiting efforts within the IWU Men’s Volleyball program. This individual will need to be relational and desire to connect with and build relationships with high school and club programs in Indiana and the surrounding states. They will also need to be able to develop a recruitment plan aimed at accomplishing our team’s recruiting goals. Additionally, this individual will need to have a collegiate volleyball coaching background and willingness to contribute to coaching, preferably in training pin hitters and team defense. There will be “other duties as assigned” throughout the year. This position involves frequent verbal, written, and email correspondence with students, parents, faculty, and staff. At Indiana Wesleyan, we believe that we have the opportunity and responsibility to disciple and mentor student-athletes as they seek to grow in their faith in Jesus Christ. The sport we coach creates the environment where that discipleship is possible. The Coach must continually seek opportunities to grow and possess strong character traits through the regular practicing of the spiritual disciplines (e.g., prayer, meditation, Bible reading) and develop ministry values that express what God can do in impacting student athletes with whom they interact. The primary role of the Assistant Women's Cross Country Coach will be to spearhead the recruiting efforts within the IWU Women's Cross Country program. This individual will need to be relational and desire to connect with and build relationships with high school and club programs in Indiana and the surrounding states. They will also need to be able to develop a recruitment plan aimed at accomplishing our team’s recruiting goals. Additionally, this individual will need to have a collegiate cross country coaching background and willingness to contribute to coaching in one of our event areas (preferably mid-distance and distance). There will be “other duties as assigned” throughout the year. This position involves frequent verbal, written, and email correspondence with students, parents, faculty, and staff. The Coach must continually seek opportunities to grow and possess strong character traits through the regular practicing of the spiritual disciplines (e.g., prayer, meditation, Bible reading) and develop ministry values that express what God can do in impacting student athletes with whom they interact. The primary role of the Assistant Men's Soccer Coach will be to spearhead the recruiting efforts within the IWU Men's Soccer program. This individual will need to be relational and desire to connect with and build relationships with high school and club programs in Indiana and the surrounding states. They will also need to be able to develop a recruitment plan aimed at accomplishing our team’s recruiting goals. Additionally, this individual will need to have a collegiate soccer coaching background and willingness to contribute to every aspect of the program's success on the field, in the classroom, and spiritually. This role has several administrative tasks assigned to the position and will require flexibility to perform “assigned duties” throughout the year. Additionally, this individual will need to have a soccer coaching background and willingness to contribute to coaching, preferably with forwards and goalkeepers.
