Job Title: Gift and Data Coordinator

Reporting Relationship: Director of Advancement Services

Unit: Central Administration

Department: Advancement Services-Central Administration

Campus Location: John Wesley Administration Building, Marion, IN

Summary of Position:    The Gift and Data Coordinator is responsible for managing the timely and accurate recording and receipting of gifts and pledges. They assist in the maintenance of all constituent records. The Gift and Data Coordinator will provide support for Advancement Operations staff and act as a liaison to donors with questions related to their giving records. The day-to-day requirements of this position will support relationships that enhance the mission of Indiana Wesleyan University.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process and maintain records on all gifts, pledges, and donor related transactions 
  • Research, enter, and maintain biographical information in CRM
  • Maintains confidentially and integrity regarding all gifts to and donors of the University 
  • Provide customer service to donors with gift and pledge inquiries and follow up on donor issues where appropriate 
  • Assist Director of Advancement Services in the production, maintenance, and distribution of reports 
  • Help develop procedures for regularly enhancing and cleansing data 
  • Assist in the clerical support for the Advancement Operations team as needed 
  • Assist with daily and monthly reports as well as month and year end reconciliation reporting
  • Other duties as assigned for Advancement including support of university sponsored events 

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • Associate degree or equivalent professional experience

Experience

  • Experience in data maintenance and accounts receivable preferred

Required Skills

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel and Access preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as well as with team members, and exercise discretion in performing all responsibilities
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks with interruptions
  • Constructively seek and receive feedback to improve performance
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while still maintaining accuracy
  • Maintain integrity and confidentiality of all data maintained in the CRM
  • Maintains data accuracy of donor and alumni records
