Job Title: International Programs Enrollment Application Specialist

Reporting Relationship: Director of International Student Programs and Enrollment 

Unit: National & Global

Department: N&G International Recruitment

Campus Location: NGM Building, Marion, IN or any of our education centers located in Indiana, Kentucky, or Ohio.

Summary of Position:    The Enrollment Application Specialist for International Student Programs serves as the first point of contact for new applicants to Indiana Wesleyan’s International Student Programs. Primary responsibilities include reviewing submitted applications for accuracy and program admission requirements, communicating missing application items to prospective students, and assisting with the overall communication flow for the application process.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete initial assessments of international student applications and take the lead in communicating additional application requirements to international student applicants 
  • Ensure all data integrity of application files to ensure proper communication with student service departments 
  • Connect students with additional enrollment team members to facilitate application issues or concerns 
  • Assist with Federal international student database (SEVIS) data input and collection 
  • Assist with international student-required international student residencies (Friday/Saturday) multiple times per year 
  • Complete Designated School Officer (DSO) training 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience

  • Two (2) years experience working in higher education preferred

Required Skills

  • CRM Experience Preferred, knowledge of Salesforce a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products and communication methods
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work in an occasionally high-stress environment
  • Ability to work on a diverse team and with diverse students
  • Excellent people skills are necessary to provide customer-oriented support
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Requires a combination of in-office and on-call availability. Nights and weekends as deemed necessary
