Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist (part-time)

Reporting Relationship: Executive Director of Student Account Services

Unit: National & Global

Department: Student Account Services

Campus Location: NGM Building

Summary of Position:    The Accounts Receivable Specialist assists the Executive Director with tasks that support effective management of student accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review trial balance and aging reports to identify students who need additional attention to resolve their account balance. a. Review accounts to identify the causative issue. b. Take action needed to resolve the balance. c. Assign the account to the appropriate team for follow-up
  • Review and approve refunds 
  • Make adjustments needed for monthly accounts receivable reports provided by the controller's office
  • Audit accounts for the collection process 
  • Manage deposit balances and reviews of accounts referred for the deceasing or duplicate processes

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.


  • Associate's degree or the equivalent


  • Two (2) years' experience in a related field
