Job Title: Account Coordinator for Special Programs

Reporting Relationship: Executive Director of Student Account Services

Unit: National & Global

Department: Student Account Services

Campus Location: NGM Building

Summary of Position:    The account coordinator for special programs will oversee all accounting aspects of students in special programs from documents needed in class starts to managing account balances.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the class start process for special programs. Examples include students enrolling under a grant program, international students on an F1 visa, aviation students, and special partners 
  • Maintain documentation for special requirements and clearance processes for each special program 
  • Be available for evening/weekend and holiday hours for residency weekends and to assist students with financial clearance during high registration periods. (Travel to residency site required) 
  • Assist international students with steps for financial clearance as necessary
  • Manage annual payment plan renewal for international students 
  • Monitor payment status for international students
  • Ensure accurate charges and full term payment for aviation students 
  • Conduct all processes in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations 
  • Advise students regarding account status 
  • Provide timely customer service to students and university departments 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required or work equivalent

Experience

  • Bookkeeping experience desired
  • Leadership experience

Required Skills

  • Ability to work accurately with attention to detail and numbers
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills relating effectively with staff, students, and other departments
  • Computer skills, primarily with Excel and web-based programs
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
