Summary of Position:    The Talent Ladder brings comprehensive, innovative training solutions to employers, organizations and individuals facing talent shortages and skill gaps. We create training programs that attract, develop, and retain the workforce and offer college credit toward degrees in the process. The Director of Partner Relations and Marketing is responsible for building the brand and implementing the communication strategies that connect with organizations about the opportunities to provide more options in their training programs and pathways for the employees to seek degrees. This role will also promote individual opportunities for training programs.
S/he will be primarily responsible for the messaging, marketing, and advertising through a wide range of channels. S/he will work with the TL team and the IWU marketing team to create the value proposition for companies. S/he will also coordinate activity with the IWU enrollment team and academic partners to ensure a coherent and consistent message to all of the organizational partners of IWU. S/he will facilitate the development of recruitment material for individuals and connect them with the Student Support Specialist of the TL.


This Director will assist other leaders in the TL by making sure client and customer needs are being met and understood by each appropriate partner. Duties will include assisting with client complaints, working to find solutions to any client issues and collaborating with our team as well as other university partners to ensure clients are experiencing a positive client-university relationship. This will ensure a coherent and contemporary message in promoting the TL.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate leads for certificate programs 
  • Develop networks and partnerships among organizations to build brand
  • Engage with marketing to develop specific advertising materials
  • Communicate with clients to ensure that all of their needs are understood and addressed
  • Build strong client relationships to maintain old business and attract new customers
  • Collaborate with the TL team to design training programs for partners
  • Meet regularly with the AVP to report on activity and coordinate future initiatives
  • Meet regularly with the TL team to strategize and collaborate about new messaging and networking opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the AVP, TL

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.

Education

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is acceptable but a Master’s Degree would be preferred in marketing or a related field or substantial experience in the business world.

Experience

  • A proven record of highly successful relationship building and collaboration.
  • A proven record of sales and marketing in both the corporate arena as well as the world of higher education.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of non-traditional adult higher education theory and practice.
  • Strong collaborative skills.
  • Experience with the application of technology to higher education.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and able to successfully work with administrators.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently with little oversight.
