Job Title: Advanced Manufacturing Processes Adjunct Faculty - Onsite/Online

Department: DeVoe School of Business

Campus Location: Onsite (Central Indiana)/Online

Summary of Position:    Adjunct faculty members are experienced professionals with the responsibility of providing a quality learning experience for Indiana Wesleyan University students. The adjunct faculty member will be current within his or her discipline, and demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning with related professional experience. (All onsite adjuncts are also expected to teach online.)

Qualifications: According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement.


  • Required: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Advanced Manufacturing or Advanced Technology Studies or Operations Management with 18 graduate credit hours in related discipline from a regionally accredited institution.

  • Preferred: Journeyman Certification in precision manufacturing and/or NIMS (National Institute of Metal Working Skills) Certification


  • Minimum seven years’ work experience in the relevant business industry preferred
  • Teaching experience preferred (Not required)

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of online educational delivery tools.
  • Demonstrated teaching abilities.
  • Demonstrated higher education experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft products.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learners
  • Demonstrated a commitment to building and cultivating diversity through leadership, teaching and/or service.
