Summary of Position:    The Division of Art + Design at Indiana Wesleyan University is seeking a qualified instructor to teach a variety of courses in the photography program on an “as needed” basis. Adjunct faculty must be able to provide course instruction in one or more of the following areas: film and darkroom skills, digital-based capture and output, medium- and large-format camera technique, studio lighting, documentary photography, concept-based photography, alternative non-silver processes, and history and theory of photography.

Qualified applicants are expected to present a detailed record of photographic practice and previous teaching experience.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teaching assigned courses and providing academic support to students.

Education

Candidates will ideally hold a graduate degree in photography or a related art field.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong record of teaching, scholarship, service, and dedication to the ideals of liberal learning, and an educational philosophy based on the centrality of Jesus Christ and the integration of faith and learning.
