The Placement Coordinator takes responsibility for seeking, assigning, confirming, and tracking all field placements and in organizing all related materials used to support teacher candidates, university supervisors, and supervising teachers. The Placement Coordinator also plans and leads special events related to practicum and student teaching. The individual in this position must be skilled in oral and written communication, highly organized, and able to see complex processes through to their outcome with little direct supervision.

The School of STEM has 27 full-time faculty members. The combined divisions offer majors in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Biology, Environmental Science, Pre-Health Care Sciences, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, and Engineering. The School has a strong commitment to high quality, academically rigorous teaching, and an emphasis in undergraduate research.
